List Server

LIMDEP and NLOGIT support a list server based discussion group.  Anyone may subscribe to this list server – you need not be a LIMDEP or NLOGIT user.  The postings to the list server are publicly available and can be viewed by anyone.  But, in order to post messages on the server, you must be a subscriber.

Subscribing to the List Server

You can subscribe to the list server either by visiting the website for the discussion group or by email.

Email Subscription

To subscribe to the list server by email, follow these steps:

  1. Subscribe to the list server by sending a plain text email to:

    limdep-request@limdep.itls.usyd.edu.au
  1. Use the following command in your subject:

    subscribe [password] [digest|nodigest]

    1. You should include a password in your request.  If you omit it, one will be generated for you. Your password must be given to unsubscribe or change your options. You will periodically be  reminded of your password.
    2. The next argument may be either: ‘nodigest’ or ‘digest’ (no quotes!).   If you use ‘digest,’ you will receive a digested form of the postings to the list server at the end of each day.  If you use ‘nodigest,’ you will receive each posting to the list server as it is posted.

Example:

To:            limdep-request@itls.usyd.edu.au
Subject:    subscribe password nodigest
